Every AlphaSteel Ingredient, With Its Real Amount
This is the whole Supplement Facts panel from the AlphaSteel bottle, transcribed rather than summarised. Seven actives, 118 mg per two capsule serving.
Ingredient 01Hormone support
Boron Amino Acid Chelate
Chelated trace mineral, 20 mg
Boron is the only compound in AlphaSteel with a direct human record on free testosterone. Small controlled studies using supplemental boron for a week reported a rise in free testosterone and a drop in sex hormone binding globulin, the carrier protein that keeps testosterone bound and unavailable. AlphaSteel prints 20 mg of boron amino acid chelate, which is the weight of the whole chelate rather than of elemental boron, and the label does not break out the elemental figure. Read it as a modest daily top up, not as a study dose.
Ingredient 02Drive and blood flow
Tongkat Ali (Eurycoma longifolia)
100:1 extract, 10 mg
Tongkat Ali is the best studied botanical in AlphaSteel. Human trials in men have looked at testosterone, stress hormones and fatigue, most often over four to twelve weeks. The AlphaSteel label prints 10 mg of a 100:1 extract and states the equivalence: roughly 1,000 mg of dry Tongkat Ali root powder. That equivalence is how the small number on the panel should be read, though extract ratios are not a like for like substitute for the powdered doses used in published trials.
Ingredient 03Hormone support
Nettle (Urtica dioica) Leaf Extract
Leaf extract, 20 mg
Nettle earns its place in male formulas through its lignans, which are studied for binding sex hormone binding globulin. The theory pairs it with boron: less binding protein activity means more of the testosterone a man already produces stays free. AlphaSteel prints 20 mg of leaf extract. Note that most nettle research in men used root rather than leaf, so treat the leaf listing as traditional support rather than as a match to the published work.
Ingredient 04Hormone support
Saw Palmetto (Serenoa repens) Berry Extract
Berry extract, 20 mg
Saw palmetto is the classic prostate botanical and the most trialled ingredient of the seven, with published work on urinary comfort in older men. Those trials typically ran at 320 mg a day of a standardised lipidosterolic extract. AlphaSteel prints 20 mg, so this is a supporting inclusion inside a blend rather than a clinical dose, and we would rather say that plainly than let the ingredient name do work the amount does not.
Ingredient 05Drive and blood flow
Horny Goat Weed (Epimedium sagittatum)
10:1 extract, 8 mg
The marker compound in horny goat weed is icariin, studied in laboratory work for its effect on the PDE5 enzyme and on nitric oxide signalling, the same pathway that governs blood flow. Human evidence is thin and most of what exists is preclinical. AlphaSteel prints 8 mg of a 10:1 extract, stated as the equivalent of about 80 mg of dry herb. It is the smallest amount on the panel and it is printed openly, which is more than most competing labels manage.
Ingredient 06Steady energy
Sarsaparilla and Wild Yam
Root extracts, 20 mg each
These two round out the blend. Sarsaparilla root carries saponins and has a long history in tonic formulas aimed at stamina. Wild yam carries diosgenin, a plant sterol that laboratories can convert into hormones but that the human body does not convert on its own, a point worth stating because it is regularly misrepresented. Both sit at 20 mg in AlphaSteel and both are best understood as traditional-use botanicals with limited controlled human data behind them.
